About

Quentin Swillens

Organization and leadership development specialist

Quentin Swillens

After 10 years supporting organizations and leaders in the public, private, and non-profit sectors, I have one conviction: most team and leadership problems have simpler solutions than we think.

My role? Help you find them and implement them, whether you’re a team manager or a leader in development.

My journey in a few words

🔬 The beginning: from physics to organizations

I started with physics studies at ULB. Why am I telling you this? Because physics taught me to look for the real causes behind observed phenomena.

When a team dysfunctions or a leader struggles to have impact, it’s rarely the people’s fault. There’s often something deeper: unclear organization, inadequate processes, contradictory objectives…

🚀 The discovery: collaborative methods

In 2010, I discovered Agile approaches during a consulting mission. Revelation: there were concrete methods to make teams work and develop leaders!

I spent the following years learning, testing, adapting these approaches in various contexts. Not out of theoretical fascination, but because they worked.

💼 Field experience: team member and leadership roles

Alongside my development in facilitation, I worked within diverse teams and held several leadership positions.

This direct experience of team dynamics and leadership challenges gives me an authentic understanding of the issues I now support.

🎯 Today: a tailored approach

15 years later, I’ve developed my own method that combines the best of what I’ve learned:

  • Look at the whole system, not just the symptoms
  • Co-build solutions with teams and leaders
  • Move step by step to anchor changes

Why I do this work

My deep conviction

I believe that most organization and leadership problems are preventable. When people clearly know who does what, how to make decisions together, how to resolve tensions, and when leaders find their authentic style… everything becomes more fluid.

What makes my difference

Performing arts background: this training taught me to “read a room”, to sense group dynamics and adapt my approach according to the internal atmosphere and unspoken elements.

Cross-cultural perspective: my exposure to diverse worldviews allows me to cross-pollinate ideas between sectors and cultures, bringing fresh perspectives to entrenched challenges.

Community building: I learned to nurture belonging while honoring individuality, principles I apply to organizational culture and leadership development.

My values in action

  • Respect: every person has their reasons for acting as they do
  • Transparency: saying things clearly, even if uncomfortable
  • Effectiveness: aiming for concrete results, not just beautiful speeches

My way of working

Collaboration, not consultation

I don't come with THE miracle solution. We build it together by drawing on your field expertise and mine in support.

Pragmatism first

An idea that works in theory but not in your context? We adapt it or abandon it. The goal: solutions that really work for you.

Autonomy as the goal

My success is measured by your ability to do without me. Successful support is when you can handle similar situations on your own.

Personalized approach

Individual coaching for leaders or team facilitation according to your needs. Often, both complement each other to create lasting change.
